Inter Milan are supposedly preparing to ignite a pursuit of Borussia Monchengladbach's Marcus Thuram amid speculation surrounding Lautaro Martinez's long-term future.
The 24-year-old has remained loyal to Inter despite persistent speculation with a move elsewhere over the past two summers and signed a contract extension until 2026 back in October.
However, Martinez's contract renewal is not believed to have deterred potential suitors, with Manchester City and Manchester United both reported to be tracking the Argentine.
The bitter rivals could have now been handed a boost in their bids to sign Martinez, with Tuttosport claiming that Inter are preparing to try again for Thuram after a failed move in 2021.
The report adds that the Nerazzurri may end up moving for the Frenchman regardless of Martinez's stance, with Alexis Sanchez not expected to remain at San Siro for the long term.
Atletico Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur have also been tipped to move for Martinez, who has 11 Serie A goals to his name this season but has not scored in league action since December.
