Manchester United have opened talks with Atletico Madrid to sign Antoine Griezmann, according to reports.
Despite penning a new contract at the Vicente Calderon in June, the 25-year-old striker has frequently been linked with a move to the Premier League.
According to The Sun, the Red Devils have asked a leading agent to agree a deal for the France international, who is reportedly valued in excess of £60m.
The newspaper continues by claiming that Jose Mourinho sees Griezmann as the perfect catalyst to get the best out of summer signings Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
However, the move for the highly-rated forward is said to be scheduled for next summer rather than the January transfer window.
Griezmann has been with Atletico since 2014, while his existing deal will keep him at the club until 2021.
