Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata keen to play with Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Juan Mata admits that he would be keen to play with Paris Saint-Germain star Zlatan Ibrahimovic at Manchester United.

Juan Mata has said that he would welcome the prospect of Zlatan Ibrahimovic joining him at Manchester United.

Swedish star Ibrahimovic is set to be out of contract with Paris Saint-Germain this summer and United are among the clubs linked with a move for the 34-year-old.

"I don't know if he will be finishing his contract or not with PSG at the end of the season and if he's going to stay there or not," Mata told Sky Sports News.

"Maybe he tries a new chapter in his long career. He is probably the best in the history of Sweden if we talk about football and what he represents."

Ibrahimovic has never played in the Premier League but has won trophies with the likes of PSG, Barcelona, Inter Milan, AC Milan and Ajax.

"He's a very good player and I like to play with very good players," Mata added.

"I don't decide that, he decides that and the club decides that. But obviously I think every player would be happy to play with him."

Ibrahimovic has enjoyed one of the most prolific seasons of his career this term, already scoring 35 goals in 40 appearances in all competitions for PSG.
