Newcastle United are reportedly considering an offer for out-of-favour Manchester United defender Phil Jones.
The 28-year-old has made 224 appearances for the Red Devils since joining from Blackburn Rovers in 2011 but has fallen behind the likes of Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof and Eric Bailly in the pecking order at Old Trafford.
Jones has only made two Premier League appearances this season, and according to The Mirror, Newcastle are weighing up a move for the England international.
The report suggests that United would be willing to accept an offer of £12m for the centre-back, who is reportedly open to a move away from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side in order to get more game time.
Newcastle manager Steve Bruce is said to be a keen admirer of the 28-year-old, but the Magpies boss could allegedly face competition from West Ham for the defender's signature.
Jones's current deal at Old Trafford expires in 2023.
