Paris Saint-Germain 'not interested in Marcos Rojo'

Ligue 1 leaders Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly not looking to sign Marcos Rojo from Manchester United this summer, despite speculation suggesting otherwise.

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly not looking to sign Marcos Rojo from Manchester United this summer, despite speculation to the contrary.

The free-spending Ligue 1 leaders were rumoured to be interested in the Argentina international due to a lack of progress in talks over an extension to his contract at Old Trafford.

Rojo's current deal expires at the end of next season and, while United boss Jose Mourinho is keen to keep him at the club, negotiations are understood to have broken down.

PSG were consequently linked with a cut-price move for the 27-year-old, but ESPN, citing a source close to the club, reports that Unai Emery's side are not interested in signing Rojo.

PSG have reportedly put any new transfer talks on hold due to the uncertainty over Emery's future, with the club's owners reportedly demanding at least a semi-final place in the Champions League to save his job.

Rojo has been beset by injuries so far this season and has fallen down the pecking order under Mourinho, limiting him to only 10 appearances across all competitions for United so far this season.
