Report: Arsenal join Toni Kroos battle

A report in Spain claims that Arsenal have joined rivals Manchester United and Chelsea in the race to sign Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos at the end of the season.

Arsenal have reportedly entered the running to sign Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos in the summer.

Numerous reports have claimed over recent weeks that the Germany international has decided to leave the Bernabeu at the end of the season.

Those rumours are said to have alerted Manchester United and Chelsea, both of whom were linked with Kroos when he left Bayern Munich to join Madrid in 2014.

However, AS claims that the Premier League duo may now face competition from rivals Arsenal for the 26-year-old's signature.

The report adds that the Gunners will be in the market for at least one midfield player, with Mathieu Flamini, Mikel Arteta and Tomas Rosicky all expected to depart the Emirates Stadium when their contracts expire in July.

Kroos has made 87 appearances for Los Blancos, from which he has scored three goals.
