Everton manager Roberto Martinez has reportedly reignited his interest in Manchester United midfielder Tom Cleverley.
Martinez, who coached Cleverley during a loan spell at Wigan Athletic over the 2010-11 season, was linked with a move for the 24-year-old earlier this summer, but that speculation has since faded.
However, with new United boss Louis van Gaal having revealed that he will shortly inform the United squad which of them will be in his plans for next season, Martinez will monitor his verdict regarding Cleverley, according to the Daily Mail.
The report added that should the England international be deemed surplus to requirements at Old Trafford, he will cost the Merseysiders £8m.
Cleverley's former club Bradford City would be due a percentage of any fee that United receive.
