Manchester United have reportedly entered the race to sign Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin.
The Frenchman was strongly linked with both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur in the summer, but the Saints managed to retain his services.
United were not thought to be in the race for the 25-year-old, but according to The Express, the midfielder's performance in Southampton's 1-0 win at Old Trafford on Sunday caught the eye of United boss Louis van Gaal.
After the match, former Red Devils full-back Gary Neville lavished praise on Schneiderlin, claiming that he could represent "any of the top clubs in the league".
The France international joined Southampton from Strasbourg in 2008.
