Roma director Tiago Pinto has refused to be drawn on suggestions that his club will attempt to sign Manchester United's Diogo Dalot during the January transfer window.
The Portugal international impressed during a loan spell at AC Milan last season before returning to Old Trafford, and he has made six appearances for the Red Devils this season.
A recent report claimed that Roma boss Jose Mourinho is keen for the 22-year-old to make the move to Rome at the start of 2022.
However, when asked about the right-back, Pinto said that he was not prepared to discuss individual players.
"I don't like talking about players from other clubs, I don't like talking publicly about transfer strategies. On the market, we cannot create great expectations for January because we all know what the January market is like," Pinto told Sky Italy.
Dalot, who is behind Aaron Wan-Bissaka in the pecking order for the right-back spot at Old Trafford, recently suggested that he has no plans to seek a move away from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.
