Tottenham Hotspur captain Hugo Lloris is reportedly attracting interest from his former club Nice.
The 35-year-old goalkeeper, who will see his current contract in North London expire next summer, has been linked with a potential return to France for the latter stages of his career.
According to Foot Mercato, Nice are hoping to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with Lloris in the New Year for the Frenchman to join the club for free next summer when his deal runs out.
The report adds that Nice are prepared to let their current number one Walter Benitez leave the club to help free up a space in their squad to sign Lloris.
Lloris is believed to be interested in returning to his former club, where he came through as an academy graduate before joining Lyon back in 2008.
The 2018 World Cup winner has made a total of 392 appearances across all competitions for Spurs, keeping 133 clean sheets.
Should Tottenham decide to replace Lloris next summer, Manchester United's Dean Henderson is believed to be one of their primary targets, while Antonio Conte is also keeping a close eye on Everton's Jordan Pickford and West Bromwich Albion's Sam Johnstone.
