Manchester United defenders Phil Jones, Chris Smalling and Jonny Evans have reportedly been told to fight for their futures at Old Trafford.
Manager Louis van Gaal is said to be losing patience with the trio, all of whom have experienced injuries during the season.
According to The Express, Jones, Smalling and Evans have until the end of the season to prove their fitness and their worthiness to remain part of the United squad.
Van Gaal is believed to be determined to strengthen his defensive options in the summer, with Borussia Dortmund's Mats Hummels remaining a top priority.
