Manchester United are reportedly hoping that Robin van Persie can convince his former Arsenal teammate Cesc Fabregas to join him at Old Trafford this summer.
Speculation yesterday claimed that United had already made contract with officials from Barcelona regarding the availability of their midfielder.
Having spent seven years together with the Gunners, United have asked their Dutch striker to make contract with Fabregas to sound him out about a move to the Premier League champions, according to the London Evening Standard.
In recent hours the odds of Fabregas signing for United have been slashed from 10/1 to around 9/2.
