Tony Mowbray is relieved that his Middlesbrough side came away with a point from their match with Crystal Palace at the Riverside.

Middlesbrough boss Tony Mowbray has admitted that he was pleased to take a point away from their 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace at the Riverside this afternoon.

Boro survived the severe weather conditions and an injury-hit squad to claim a point despite Palace having the majority of the game.

"We are down to the bare bones. I think we are just glad to get a point," said Mowbray.

"It has been a difficult week for us. We only had four in training on Thursday and that makes it difficult to get the strong team out.

"But that said, we did well. I'm proud of them. We kept digging in, we stayed in the game and we got a clean sheet."

With the result, the Teeside outfit drop to sixth place in the Championship table.
