Roberto Mancini 'not angry' with Stevan Jovetic international call-up

Roberto Mancini has denied that he was angry about striker Stevan Jovetic being selected for international duty with Montenegro, as Inter Milan prepare to take on Sampdoria this Sunday.

Jovetic has been struggling with a hamstring injury recently but Montenegro manager Branko Brnovic still decided to give the Manchester City loanee striker a place in his squad, as they face crucial Euro 2016 qualifiers against Austria and Russia.

However, Mancini insists that there is no problem with the striker being called-up and expects the 25-year-old to be careful while on international duty.

"There's no problem, I'm not angry with anyone. It's normal for him to be called up. I don't think he's able to play [against Sampdoria]," Mancini said, according to Goal.com.

"He's a smart lad. If he's called, he has to go, but he knows what to do. I hope he can return to the pitch to face Juventus."

Inter's perfect start to the season was ended last weekend when they were beaten 4-1 by Fiorentina.
