Jean Fernandez sees improvement in Montpellier HSC

Jean Fernandez feels that his side is improving each game they play in Ligue 1.

Montpellier HSC coach Jean Fernandez has insisted that he saw many positives for his side despite them being unable to take all three points in the 0-0 home draw against Rennes.

Fernandez said that his side should have put away one of their many chances, but that he can see his side getting better game by game.

"We're disappointed because we didn't play as we should have," Ligue1.com quotes him as saying. "We were up against a Rennes side who played very deep, and all we needed was to put the ball in the back of the net, because we had the chances.

"We didn't convert our dominance, and that's where our frustration stems from. But in terms of the quality of our play, there was some great stuff. We're lacking a little something with our forwards, and could have done with a little bit of luck.

"We need to keep working hard because we're a solid side and we've been showing more and more promising play over the last couple of matches."

Montpellier have drawn their last four games in the league.
