Les Hutchison: 'Motherwell players should be ashamed'

Motherwell owner Ian Hutchinson says that a number of players should "hang their heads in shame" after the sacking of former manager Ian Baraclough.

Motherwell owner Les Hutchison has said that a number of players should "hang their heads in shame" following the dismissal of manager Ian Baraclough.

Hutchison sacked Baraclough on Wednesday, with the club languishing in 10th place in the Scottish Premiership, but the Motherwell owner has said that the players must also take a share of the responsibility.

"It's shocking but they have to stand up now," Hutchison told BBC Sport.

"There's a few that really need to hang their head in shame today that a fine a young man has gone down the road to see his wife and family.

"We have been extremely disappointed with the series of results over the last weeks and at some point one has to bring it to a conclusion."

Managerless Motherwell will face Partick Thistle on Saturday as they bid to turn around their poor form.
