Rafael Benitez tight-lipped over Napoli future

Former Liverpool and Chelsea manager Rafael Benitez claims that he has been given no indication that he will not be offered a new contract by Napoli.

Rafael Benitez has refused to offer any clues as to whether he will be leaving Napoli when his contract expires at the end of the season.

Reports have suggested that the Spaniard will not be offered an extension due to Napoli's inconsistent form and their failure to reach the Champions League group stage, but Benitez claims that his relationship with owner Aurelio De Laurentiis is still good.

"We talked about the future but there are 15 games to be played until January," the former Liverpool and Chelsea manager told reporters. "We haven't set dates for contract renewal talks. It's better to focus on the games."

Seventh-place Napoli meet Inter Milan in Serie A on Sunday evening.
