Newcastle United goalkeeper Tim Krul has insisted that he and his teammates were always confident that they could get a result against Manchester United.
The Magpies ended a wait of more than four decades for a victory at Old Trafford by securing a 1-0 win over the Red Devils on Saturday.
"They have had some bad results at home, and we knew that," the Northern Echo quotes Krul as saying. "We felt that if we came out fighting, we knew we would have a chance."
Newcastle are now seventh in the Premier League table after 15 games.
