Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew denies that there is a rift at the club.

Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew has strongly denied suggestions of dressing room unrest following the 6-0 defeat to Liverpool last weekend.

A disappointing run of form has left the Magpies in 17th position in the table, but they are five points outside of the drop zone.

It had been suggested that a revolt had occurred following the defeat to Liverpool, but Pardew has insisted that "there is no problem".

"As far as I am concerned, the group is very much together, pulling together trying to get a result," Pardew told Sky Sports News.

"The fact that we have a lot of French players and some language difficulties has been torn up and made to be something else. There is no problem and we go to the next game."

Newcastle travel to West Ham United on Saturday.
