Rolando Aarons contract talks stall?

A report claims that Newcastle United flyer Rolando Aarons has put Premier League clubs on alert after contract talks over a new St James' Park deal broke down.

Newcastle United have reportedly stalled on offering young winger Rolando Aarons a new deal.

The 19-year-old has looked impressive during pre-season to date, scoring twice to build on his brief exploits from last term.

According to The Express, Aarons, who missed large parts of 2014-15 through injury, has now put fellow Premier League rivals on alert.

With just two years left to run on his current contract, it is suggested that a side such as Arsenal or Liverpool could make an approach before the window closes.

Aarons found the net twice for the Magpies in the opening three months of last season, before being struck down by a hamstring injury.
