Hartlepool decide to part company with head coach Mick Wadsworth.

League One club Hartlepool United have sacked head coach Mick Wadsworth.

The Monkey Hangers have lost their last seven home matches, a string of results which has seen the club slip to 13th in the league table after a positive start.

"We would like to wish Mick all the very best for his future career and thank him for his efforts since joining the club in July 2010," read a statement on the club's official website.

"His contribution and wealth of experience during that time has been greatly appreciated by the chairman, club owners and everyone associated with the club."

Coach Micky Barron has taken over the club on a temporary basis.
