Report: Football Association facing legal action over Richard Scudamore emails

The FA will reportedly face legal action over their failure to investigate allegations of sexist emails sent by Premier League chief executive Richard Scudamore.

The Football Association is facing legal action over its failure to investigate allegations of sexist emails sent by Premier League chief executive Richard Scudamore, according to reports.

Earlier this year, Rani Abraham, who is Scudamore's former personal assistant, revealed the contents of emails sent between the top flight's chief and his lawyer friend.

She is already suing the Premier League for £150,000 regarding the issue, and now reportedly plans to bring legal action against the FA too.

"Because the FA have aided and abetted the Premier League in the victimisation of our client, we say they have effectively acted as the agent of the Premier League to shut this matter down," Lawrence Davies of Equal Justice Solicitors told Channel 4 News.

"It's an old boys' network, simply supporting Mr Scudamore rather than obeying their legal obligations."

FA chairman Greg Dyke has previously said that the organisation is unable to take disciplinary action against Scudamore as he is not an FA employee.
