Robert Snodgrass hails Norwich City "character"

Robert Snodgrass believes that he and his Norwich City teammates showed "character" to come from behind and beat West Ham United at Carrow Road.

Norwich City winger Robert Snodgrass has hailed his side's "character" for coming from a goal down to beat West Ham United at home on Saturday.

Second-half goals from the 26-year-old, Gary Hooper and Leroy Fer saw the Canaries overturn a 1-0 half-time deficit to win their Premier League clash 3-1 at Carrow Road.

"At half time the manager (Chris Hughton) told us that we needed to relax on the ball," BBC Sport quotes him as saying. "We have played well against some top sides and have not got the results.

"We worked really hard on the training ground this week and it's great to give something back to the fans, especially those who went to the 7-0 defeat to Manchester City. We are delighted to get the three points.

"I know people speak about Chris Hughton being under pressure. But it just shows you in a so-called pressure game he plays two strikers up front and we showed our character. We put things right and everything worked on the night."

Norwich are currently 15th in the league table with 11 points from as many matches.
