Frontman Gary Hooper has not handed in a transfer request at Norwich City, Canaries boss Neil Adams has insisted.
Hooper's future at Carrow Road has come into question after the recent acquisition of Lewis Grabban, but Adams is certain that the former Celtic man will be going nowhere this summer.
"A transfer request from Gary Hooper hasn't happened. I've spoken to Gary - he's a goalscorer and we need goalscorers," Adams told BBC Radio Norfolk.
"He's part of a strike lineup that will be competing for places."
As well as Hooper and Grabban, recently-relegated Norwich still have strikers Ricky van Wolfswinkel and Luciano Becchio on long-term contracts.
