Half-Time Report: Nottingham Forest come from behind to lead Leicester City

Nottingham Forest come from a goal behind to lead Leicester City 2-1 at the City Ground.

Nottingham Forest have come from behind to lead 2-1 at the halfway stage of their Championship clash with Leicester City.

Both sides started positively at the City Ground, with the lively Jamie Paterson asking an early question of Kasper Schmeichel, who made a routine save.

Forest came close to the opener in the 24th minute when Danny Collins lost his marker inside the box to head Andy Reid's corner towards goal but Schmeichel reacted well to tip the ball over the crossbar.

It was the visitors who broke the deadlock 15 minutes before the break through Jamie Vardy, who took advantage of a defensive mistake from Jamaal Lascelles to stroke a calm shot home.

Forest managed to hit back when the visitors failed to clear a corner, which allowed Paterson to head in an equaliser.

The hosts completed a turnaround before the break thanks to Andy Reid, who slotted home from the penalty spot after Wes Morgan was adjudged to have fouled Jamie Mackie.
