Fawaz Al-Hasawi planning further signings for Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest owner Fawaz Al-Hasawi believes that it is crucial that the club sign more players before the start of the new Championship season.

Nottingham Forest owner Fawaz Al-Hasawi has revealed his intention to bring more players to the club before the start of the new season.

Despite being confident in the ability of Forest's younger players, Al-Hasawi is certain that manager Stuart Pearce needs more players of a high quality to secure promotion to the Premier League.

"Naturally, we would be foolish to solely rely on youngsters to help us achieve our dream of reaching the Premier League," Al-Hasawi revealed in a statement on the club's official website. "Michael Mancienne joined us from Hamburg yesterday, a player who the managerial staff know very well and who, at 26, has his best years ahead of him.

"It is both mine and Stuart's desire to strengthen further before the 2014-15 campaign gets underway. We both want the same thing, and we will give our all to achieve it."

Forest have also signed Matty Fryatt, Lars Veldwijk, Louis Laing and Roger Riera this summer.
