Stuart Pearce slams Nottingham Forest display in Millwall defeat

Nottingham Forest boss Stuart Pearce reveals that he was extremely disappointed with his side's display in their 1-0 defeat to Millwall at the City Ground.

Nottingham Forest boss Stuart Pearce has slammed his team's performance in their 1-0 defeat to Millwall at the City Ground.

Forest's run of poor form in the Championship continued as they failed to take the chances on offer against Ian Holloway's struggling side, and they succumbed to defeat when Ricardo Fuller fired the winner for the Lions in the 83rd minute.

Pearce told BBC Sport: "It was a disappointing afternoon. Millwall were a team who were waiting to be beaten. I was disappointed that we did not win.

"I thought our front two could win us the game, but they did not do enough to do it.

"We created chances but we did not have the gumption and the oomph to take the game by the scruff of the neck and grind the opposition into the ground."

Pearce's side have won just one of their last 10 matches in the league and are now just seven points clear of the relegation zone.
