Notts County boss Shaun Derry "absolutely gutted" by FA Cup exit

Notts County boss Shaun Derry admits that he is "absolutely gutted" with his side's first-round exit in the FA Cup.

Notts County boss Shaun Derry has admitted that he is "absolutely gutted" after seeing his team dumped out of the FA Cup by lower-league Accrington Stanley.

The Magpies were beaten in their first-round replay on Tuesday night, going down 2-1 to the League Two side at the Crown Ground.

"I am absolutely gutted we are out," Derry told the club's official website. "I question the mentality and that's disappointing.

"I always back the lads, but to get knocked out by a team that's lower than us is bitterly disappointing. We didn't really create many passages of play. I'm sure we will see a reaction on Saturday."

Notts County continue their League One campaign on Saturday when they entertain Yeovil Town.
