Team News: Two Burnley players start at Turf Moor for England Under-21s

Burnley's Michael Keane is in the starting XI for England's U21s against their Portugal counterparts at Turf Moor on Thursday, alongside Clarets teammate Danny Ings.

England Under-21 manager Gareth Southgate has made five changes ahead of his side's friendly clash against their Portugal counterparts this evening at Turf Moor.

Manchester United defender Michael Keane, currently on loan at Burnley, is in the starting XI alongside Clarets teammate Danny Ings, who leads the attack.

On-loan Swansea City man Tom Carroll and Brighton & Hove Albion's Jake Forster-Caskey line up in midfield, while Derby County loanee Jack Butland captains the side in between the sticks.

Burnley's Nathan Chalobah will have to be content with a spot among the substitutes, while West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino is not in the squad.

Portugal's Under-21s are the only side who made it through their qualifying group for next year's European U21s tournament with 10 straight wins.

England U21s: Butland, Jenkinson, Garbutt, Hughes, Gibson, Keane, Ince, Forster-Caskey, Ings, Carroll, Redmond
Subs: Robinson, Bond, Lascelles, Chalobah, Pritchard, Bamford, Kane, Woodrow, Wilson, Bettinelli

Portugal U21s: R Silva, Figueiredo, Alves, Neves, B Silva, R Perfeira, Esgaio, B Fernandes, Ruben, Bangna, Verrnacio
