Simon Grayson lauds "incredible" Preston North End unbeaten run

Preston manager Simon Grayson praises top-scorer Joe Garner for his hat-trick against Swindon Town and hails his side's "incredible" 18-match unbeaten run.

Preston North End manager Simon Grayson has praised his players after they extended their unbeaten run to 18 games and moved closer to automatic promotion.

A hat-trick from Joe Garner gave the Lilywhites a comfortable victory over Swindon Town at Deepdale on Saturday and means that a win against Colchester United next week will see the Lancashire club into the Championship.

Grayson was quick to praise his goalscorer, as well as the effort of his team as a whole.

He is quoted by the club's official Twitter feed as saying: "We have to focus on ourselves. Full credit to the players. To go 18 games unbeaten is incredible at this stage of the season.

"It's been a great week for Joe, he deserves all the praise that he gets. He'll be the first to praise the players he plays with too."

MK Dons can overtake Preston in the League One table if they better North End's result on the final day of the season against Yeovil Town.
