Javier Pastore: 'Paris Saint-Germain can still retain title'

Paris Saint-Germain playmaker Javier Pastore says that the club can still retain the Ligue 1 title despite witnessing a shaky first half to their domestic season.

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Javier Pastore has suggested that they can still claim the Ligue 1 crown this season, despite being third in the league.

Laurent Blanc's men have found the first half of the season tough going, with a stark 4-2 defeat at the hands of Bastia inviting criticism of the big-spending outfit.

"The title is in our hands, it only depends on us. We now have to go out to try and win every match and play well," Pastore told the club's TV channel.

"We don't have the same attitude as last year, that's true. It's the same players, the same coach, but us, our attitude to come into a game and to want to win, that's what's different."

PSG currently find themselves four points behind first-placed Lyon, who lead with 45 points from 21 games so far this season.
