Preview: Bastia vs. Paris Saint-Germain

Sports Mole looks ahead to Saturday afternoon's Ligue 1 clash between Bastia and Paris Saint-Germain.

Sitting three points behind the Ligue 1 leaders at the halfway stage of the season is certainly not a disaster, but it's fair to say that Paris Saint-Germain's supporters expect much better from their side.

After storming to the title in each of the last two seasons, PSG appeared to be locked in a three-way battle in the current campaign, with Lyon currently second behind leaders Marseille ahead of the first round of Ligue 1 fixtures in 2015.

PSG started the year impressively in midweek by cruising to a 3-0 victory over Montpellier in the Coupe de France, and Laurent Blanc will expect a repeat performance when his side visit Bastia on Saturday.

Very few will be expecting a slip-up from PSG, who have lost just one league game this season, despite trailing Marseille and Lyon at the top of the table.

Bastia are currently sitting in the relegation zone, but they head into the game with renewed confidence thanks to a run of four games unbeaten in all competitions.

The hosts could be without Floyd Ayite after he picked up an injury in midweek, but Christophe Vincent is likely to return to the side for the meeting with the champions.

Salvatore Sirigu is set to return in goal for PSG after missing the win over Montpellier, while Edinson Cavani and Marco Verratti are expected to be back in the starting lineup.
