QPR chairman Tony Fernandes confirms Harry Redknapp will be offered new deal

Queens Park Rangers chairman Tony Fernandes confirms that manager Harry Redknapp is close to signing a new contract.

Queens Park Rangers chairman Tony Fernandes has confirmed that manager Harry Redknapp is close to signing a new contract.

The former Tottenham Hotspur boss is expected to extend his stay at Loftus Road after guiding them back to the Premier League via the playoffs last season.

Fernandes told Sky Sports News: "Me and Harry have been in discussions. It's something I've always wanted - stability. There was always an intention to renew Harry's [contract]."

QPR are yet to win a game in the top flight this season following defeats to Hull City and Tottenham.
