Neil Warnock: 'Queens Park Rangers need experienced manager'

Neil Warnock believes that Queens Park Rangers should replace Chris Ramsey with a more experienced manager following their relegation from the Premier League.

Former Queens Park Rangers manager Neil Warnock has said that the club must replace Chris Ramsey with a more experienced boss following their relegation from the Premier League.

The Hoops have returned to the Championship just a year after winning promotion following their 6-0 loss at Manchester City on Sunday.

Ramsey took charge following Harry Redknapp's resignation in February, but Warnock believes that keeping faith with the rookie coach would be a big gamble.

"It is a going to be a lot of wheeling and dealing without spending fortunes and they need to try to establish themselves in the Championship first and foremost," Warnock told talkSPORT.

"I know Chris Ramsey is a very, very good coach, but management is different to coaching. I think they have to be very, very careful the way they go now.

"Chris is a good bloke and him and Les Ferdinand could sort the youth out and plan the future of the club, but I'm not sure about [managing in] the Championship."

Warnock guided QPR to promotion from the Championship in 2011.
