Neil Warnock is angry with referee Michael Oliver after his side's 1-1 draw with Aston Villa.

Queens Park Rangers manager Neil Warnock was left angered by referee Michael Oliver after his side's 1-1 draw with Aston Villa at Loftus Road.

Warnock's side went behind on 58 minutes when Barry Bannan scored from the spot after Armand Traore was controversially adjudged to have tugged back Gabriel Agbonlahor, before Richard Dunne's late own goal shared the spoils.

The 62-year-old was further enraged after two penalty decisions, both handballs, did not go his team's way.

"It's disappointing to be talking about the decisions because I don't think it (the foul) is given anywhere else, but it's one of them days," Warnock told Sky Sports News.

"There's nothing to referee in that game. Not one Aston Villa supporter appealed for a penalty.

"He (Oliver) has to be limelight and that's not what referees are for. Referees should be seen and not heard."

Warnock then came back out for the television cameras to voice his opinion having seen replays of the penalty incidents against his side and was further infuriated.

"How can a referee or linesman not see that?" he added. "The first one is embarassing. How that cannot be given as a penalty... really, my boys deserve better than that."

The draw has lifted QPR up to ninth place in the Premier League table, while Aston Villa are one place above them in eighth.
