Atlanta United have reportedly registered an interest in signing former Queens Park Rangers midfielder Stephane Mbia.
Mbia made 31 appearances during his time at Loftus Road between 2012 and 2014 but has since spent spells with Sevilla, Trabzonspor and China Hebei Fortune.
However, it now appears that the Cameroon international will make a switch to the MLS after being seen speaking to Atlanta officials during their 5-0 win over LAFC.
Manager Gerardo Martino has played down the possibility of a move, but 31-year-old Mbia is a former teammate of Carlos Bocanegra, who is the vice president and technical director at the club.
Atlanta currently sit in second place in the MLS standings.
