Rangers' promotion back to Scottish Premiership confirmed

Rangers will be back in the Scottish Premiership four years after demotion having been confirmed as Scottish Championship winners.

Rangers have returned to the Scottish Premiership thanks to a 1-0 win over Dumbarton tonight.

Mark Warburton's side cannot be caught at the top of the Championship having opened up a 17-point lead.

The Glasgow club return to the top flight of Scottish football four years after being demoted to the bottom tier over financial issues.

Lee Wallace is the only player to have stuck with Rangers through all four seasons below the top division.
