Wednesday's Bundesliga predictions including RB Leipzig vs. Hertha Berlin

Sports Mole provides score predictions for all of Wednesday's Bundesliga fixtures, including RB Leipzig vs. Hertha Berlin.

RB Leipzig will be looking to put pressure on the Bundesliga's top two when they play host to Hertha Berlin at Red Bull Arena on Wednesday.

The Red Bulls returned to winning ways last time out and are within seven points of leaders Bayern Munich, who travel to second-place Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday in the pick of the midweek matches.

We say: RB Leipzig 2-1 Hertha Berlin

Leipzig have a pretty formidable record against Hertha and looked back to their best against Mainz at the weekend. However, Hertha have scored seven unanswered goals in their two matches under Labbadia and will make things very tough for their third-place opponents on Wednesday.

Dusseldorf vs. Schalke (Wednesday, 7.30pm)

Two sides struggling for wins in the Bundesliga will meet on Wednesday as Fortuna Dusseldorf play host to Schalke 04 at the Merkur Spiel-Arena.

Dusseldorf drew their fourth game in succession against FC Koln last time out, while Schalke suffered a dismal 3-0 home defeat to Augsburg at the weekend.

We say: Dusseldorf 1-1 Schalke 04

Both sides are in a desperate situation and are vying to get their Bundesliga campaigns back on track, but we think that a draw is the most likely result between two clubs seriously lacking confidence at this stage of the season.

Union Berlin vs. Mainz 05 (Wednesday, 7.30pm)

Mainz 05 will be looking to recover from their crushing 5-0 loss to RB Leipzig when they travel to Union Berlin for Wednesday's Bundesliga clash.

The home side also suffered a humbling defeat last time out, as Union were swept aside by local rivals Hertha Berlin 4-0 to slip further down the table.

We say: Union Berlin 1-0 Mainz 05

Even though Union will be without the support of their loyal crowd for some time to come, Fischer's men have produced some impressive performances on home soil this season. As a result, we are struggling to see a Mainz side lacking in confidence coming away with anything on Wednesday evening.

Hoffenheim vs. FC Koln (Wednesday, 7.30pm)

Two sides separated by only two points in the Bundesliga table will meet on Wednesday as Hoffenheim and FC Koln lock horns at the Rhein-Neckar-Arena.

Hoffenheim go into the game following a 1-1 draw with rock-bottom SC Paderborn, whereas Koln staged a late comeback to rescue a point against Fortuna Dusseldorf last weekend.

We say: Hoffenheim 1-2 Koln

Both Hoffenheim and Koln will go into the game determined to record their first victories since the Bundesliga resumed. Hoffenheim have struggled for goals in the absence of Kramaric, however, and we expect Koln to take all three points in what could prove to be an exciting affair.

Augsburg vs. SC Paderborn (Wednesday, 7.30pm)

Time is running out for SC Paderborn in their bid to escape relegation from the Bundesliga as they prepare to take on Augsburg at WWK Arena on Wednesday evening.

The visitors are bottom of the division, six points adrift of the relegation playoff spot, while opponents Augsburg pushed clear of danger with their win at the weekend.

We say: Augsburg 3-1 SC Paderborn

Augsburg ended their poor run of form at the weekend and look good value to make it back-to-back wins against the division's basement boys. Paderborn have avoided defeat in successive games for just the second time this term, but they quite simply need to start picking up wins.
