Reading boss Brian McDermott feels that managerial stability is crucial to maintaining success in all divisions of football.

Reading boss Brian McDermott believes that managerial stability is key to maintaining success in all divisions of football.

McDermott has been at the helm at the Madejski Stadium for three years after taking over in December 2009.

He told reporters: "It seems to me that if you have that stability and you have a club with a manager and staff and players who have been there a little while, I keep going back to Manchester United because I have to.

"I see teams chopping and changing their managers every five minutes and it is just outrageously ridiculous to me and it doesn't seem to solve too many problems."

Reading are currently 18th in the Premier League, one point adrift of safety.
