Reading midfielder Hal Robson-Kanu has turned down a summer switch to Cardiff City and agreed a new contract with the Championship side.
Robson-Kanu caught the eye with a string of accomplished performances for the Royals last season, scoring seven goals in 25 Premier League appearances.
Despite reported interest from Cardiff and Aston Villa, the Welsh international has decided to commit his future to Reading and sign a new three-year deal, according to the Daily Star.
The 23-year-old will reportedly become one of the club's top earners when he puts pen to paper on fresh terms later this week, joining Alex Pearce in pledging his commitment to a promotion push under manager Nigel Adkins.
The Royals boss has been quick to shape his squad in the close season, signing a trio of players including former England full-back Wayne Bridge and Royston Drenthe.
