Guillem Balague: 'Jurgen Klopp could replace Carlo Ancelotti'

Respected Spanish journalist Guillem Balague believes that Borussia Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp could arrive at Real Madrid this summer.

Respected Spanish journalist Guillem Balague has claimed that Jurgen Klopp could replace Carlo Ancelotti as Real Madrid boss next season.

It is widely thought that Ancelotti will lose his job at the Bernabeu if Los Blancos are knocked out in the semi-finals of the Champions League by Juventus.

Klopp is still in charge of Borussia Dortmund, but will leave the German side this summer and Balague believes that he could arrive in Spain.

"If Real Madrid get knocked out I don't see Ancelotti there next season. Then it will be a matter of choosing between the coaches available – not an easy situation," Balague told Sky Sports News.

"For me, the solution would be Jurgen Klopp. Klopp is a coach that hasn't got the language, but that has never been a huge issue in Spain. He offers collective work and directness, which the fans like."

Ancelotti won a Copa del Rey and Champions League double for Real Madrid last season.
