LA Galaxy midfielder David Beckham has joined many others in praising Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola.
The 41-year-old coach yesterday revealed he would step down as coach of the Catalan giants at the end of the season.
Guardiola has led Barcelona to 13 titles in four years and the former Real Madrid man believes that he should be given the utmost respect for what he has achieved in his time at the Nou Camp.
"Pep is not only a great coach, but also a gentleman," Beckham posted on his official Facebook page.
"I'm a fan of Real Madrid, but I loved the way his team played and he deserves everything he has achieved. I wish him well."
Beckham spent four years in Spain with Barcelona's rivals Real Madrid before joining LA Galaxy in 2007.
