Sergio Ramos urges Gareth Bale to join Real Madrid

Sergio Ramos says that Gareth Bale is a "Real Madrid-quality signing" and has backed him to move to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos has urged Gareth Bale to move to the Santiago Bernabeu this summer.

The Tottenham Hotspur winger enjoyed a scintillating campaign where he achieved numerous individual honours, and has been linked with many of Europe's elite as a result.

Ramos believes that the 23-year-old and Madrid would be perfect for one another.

"Gareth Bale is a Real Madrid-quality signing," Ramos told The Sun.

"He has had an exceptional season. He can punish any team in the world and has the footballing qualities we look for in Madrid.

"I am sure Madrid will not be the only team that want to sign him, but he is the right mould for us."

Bale recently hinted that he is prepared to stay at White Hart Lane next season.
