Real Madrid are in discussions with Lyon over the summer signing of midfielder Tanguy Ndombele, according to a report.
The French side have privately acknowledged that they will struggle to keep hold of the 22-year-old this summer because of the growing interest in him.
Los Blancos are one of a number of sides believed to have shown an interest in Ndombele, along with the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus.
Spanish outlet AS indicates that Madrid are out in front in the race to land the France international as, while nothing has yet been agreed, initial talks with Lyon have been successful.
Ndombele's representatives recently travelled to the Spanish capital to discuss personal terms, it is claimed, and Madrid must now agree a fee with Les Gones.
