Wolfsburg's Ricardo Rodriguez plays down Real Madrid rumours

Wolfsburg left-back Ricardo Rodriguez claims that he has not been contacted by Real Madrid over a move to the Bernabeu this month.

Ricardo Rodriguez has revealed that he has "not heard" from Real Madrid amid claims that the Spanish giants want to sign the Wolfsburg left-back in this transfer window.

The 23-year-old has long been linked with a move to the Bernabeu, with Real Madrid believed to lead the race for the full-back's signature.

However, Rodriguez, who is contracted to Wolfsburg until the summer of 2019, has insisted that there has been no contact from the Spanish capital.

"I've not heard from Real. I don't know if there's anything in it. Even my manager has said nothing to me, so there is nothing new," he told Bild.

The Swiss international, who has also previously been linked with Manchester United, moved to Wolfsburg from Zurich in 2012.
