Rennes 5-0 Dijon

Rennes miss out of Europa League qualification despite dooming Dijon to relegation with a 5-0 thrashing.

Dijon have been relegated after suffering a 4-0 thrashing away to Rennes on the final day of the Ligue 1 season.

The hosts got off to the best possible start when Victor Hugo Montano's left-footed shot beat Baptiste Reynet after nine minutes.

Jires Kembo-Ekoko doubled Rennes' advantage from the spot on the stroke of half time after Cedric Varrault fouled Jonathan Pitroipa inside the area.

It was Pitroipa who put the game beyond doubt in the 51st minute before Ekoko grabbed his second of the game on the hour mark.

Youssouf Hadji wrapped up the scoring and the points for Rennes, who ultimately lost out to Bordeaux for the final Europa League spot.
