Republic of Ireland goalkeeper David Forde remains confident that his side will qualify for next year's World Cup in Brazil.

Republic of Ireland goalkeeper David Forde has claimed that his side have a good chance of qualifying for next year's World Cup in Brazil.

The Irish are currently tied on 11 points with Austria and Sweden in Group C with four games left to play.

"September is going to be huge," Forde is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "They are great games to be playing in, Sweden at home and Austria away, and they will probably be the deciders as well.

"I certainly think we will finish second for that qualifying spot and go to [Brazil]."

Ireland are looking to qualify for a World Cup for the first time since 2002.
