Team News: Daniele De Rossi restored to Roma lineup

Roma manager Rudi Garcia restores Daniele De Rossi to his starting lineup for the Italian side's Champions League home clash with Bayer Leverkusen.

Roma manager Rudi Garcia has restored Daniele De Rossi to his starting lineup for the Italian side's Champions League home clash with Bayer Leverkusen.

De Rossi, who did not make the first XI in Roma's weekend loss to Inter Milan, takes his place in midfield alongside Radja Nainggolan and Miralem Pjanic.

Alessandro Florenzi moves back the field to right full-back, while Maicon takes his place on the bench.

Bayer Leverkusen, who lost 2-1 at the weekend to Wolfsburg, make two changes to their team.

Christoph Kramer and Karim Bellarabi both drop to the bench, in favour of Omer Toprak and Stefan Kiessling.

Kiessling partners Javier Hernandez up front in a 4-4-2 formation for Roger Schmidt's side, who came from two goals down to draw 4-4 in the reverse of this fixture a fortnight ago.

Roma: Szczesny; Florenzi, Manolas, Rudiger, Digne; De Rossi, Nainggolan, Pjanic; Salah, Gervinho, Dzeko
Subs: De Sanctis, Maicon, Torosidis, Castan, Vainqueur, Iturbe, Falque

Bayer Leverkusen: Leno; Tah, Papadopoulos, Donati, Wendell; Toprak, Kampl, Mehmedi, Calhanolglu; Kiessling, Hernandez
Subs: Kresic, Boenisch, Ramalho, Brandt, Bellarabi, Kramer, Yurchenko
