Roma lose Michael Bradley for a month

Roma midfielder Michael Bradley is ruled out for around a month after suffering ankle ligament damage on international duty.

Roma midfielder Michael Bradley will reportedly be out of action for around a month after suffering ankle ligament damage on international duty.

Bradley picked up the problem while warming up for the USA in a World Cup qualifier against Costa Rica last weekend, which forced him out of the match just minutes before kickoff.

The 26-year-old had a scan on the swollen ankle that showed ligament damage, which is expected to keep him sidelined for at least four weeks.

USA boss Jurgen Klinsmann will now be without Bradley for tomorrow night's crucial qualifier against Mexico, while Roma coach Rudi Garcia must plan to resume Serie A without a regular starter.

The Giallorossi have used Bradley in both of their Serie A matches so far this season, but will almost certainly be without the American for next weekend's Rome derby against bitter rivals Lazio.
