Team News: Ignazio Abate starts for AC Milan in home game with Roma

Seydou Doumbia passes a fitness test and starts for Roma against AC Milan at the San Siro.

AC Milan have recalled Ignazio Abate for tonight's Serie A home game with second-placed Roma.

Abate is one of two defensive changes made by Filippo Inzaghi, who is keen to put last week's heavy defeat at Napoli behind him.

Mattia De Sciglio is suspended after his red card in Naples, while Salvatore Bocchetti misses out and is replaced by Luca Antonelli.

Roma striker Seydou Doumbia has shaken off an injury to start at the San Siro, allowing Rudi Garcia to name an unchanged team.

AC Milan: Lopez, Abate, Alex, Mexes, Antonelli, Poli, De Jong, Van Ginkel, Honda, Bonaventura, Destro

Roma: De Sanctis; Florenzi, Manolas, Astori, Torosidis; Nainggolan, De Rossi, Pjanic; Ibarbo, Doumbia, Gervinho
